Inspired Design.
In May 2011, Avalon Waterways unveiled the Avalon Panorama, the industry's FIRST "Suite Ship." Simply put, this Suite Ship redefines space: Space that was thoughtfully designed to enhance traveler comfort and views, while also bringing an indoor/outdoor living experience on board.
In addition to boasting 17 award-winning Avalon Deluxe Staterooms on the lower deck, the Panorama features 64 newly designed Panorama Suites, positioned on the top two decks, showcasing a full, 200-square feet of living space. This space comes complete with a large seating area adjacent to a Wall-to-Wall Panoramic Window. When opened, this floor-to-ceiling window is nearly 11' x 7', and transforms the entire Suite into the category's first Open-Air Balcony.
The Avalon Impression, the Avalon Poetry II, and the Avalon Illuminations will join the Avalon family in 2014, with the same enhance cabins and amenities as the Avalon Panorama.

A Panorama Suite on Avalon's "Suite Ships" comes fully appointed and ready to deliver the very best of river cruising. Designed with space to get away from it all and relax, you'll discover you can really "live" in the remarkably large living space - 30% larger than the industry standard. You'll find yourself mesmerized by the amazing views outside your Wall-to-Wall Panoramic Window...and will appreciate how the unique Open-Air Balcony doesn't detract from your indoor square footage the way an exterior balcony does. A full-size sitting area is perfect for quiet moments alone-and spacious enough to host a private cocktail party with new friends. Even the placement of the bed is innovative, facing the window to allow you to watch the splendid passing riverscapes as you lie in cozy comfort on your Comfort Collection Bed. And unlike other operators that only have a small number of premium suites on each ship, 80% of our Suite Ship staterooms are Panorama Suites.
